1. Introduction

1.1 Purpose

This document captures the business requirements for the Inventory Management module spanning the admin Portal and camp-level local servers (camp laptops), the synchronization between them, the backend APIs supporting the StopTB drug master and local stock management

2. Required Changes in AMRIT Inventory Management Module

2.1 Purpose of This Section

The existing AMRIT platform already has a live Inventory Management Module, with an Admin Portal for master-data configuration. Highlighting the sections that will get added to the flow :

This BRD is not proposing a new module from scratch - it is defining the changes required on top of what already exists. This section exists specifically to answer that question for the Admin Portal component, where all inventory master data is configured and from which it synchronizes out to various service line.

2.2 As-Is → To-Be —Admin Portal Changes

1

Inventory → Master

All the dropdown right now for service line have only option of HWC

Add one more service line for Stop TB

2No master exists to catalog device types (Xray device, Truenat device, Glucometer, etc.) at a generic/model levelAdd a new Device Master (generic catalog — see 2.3, Table A)—
4No facility to register the specific physical units of a device (serial number, manufacturer, purchase details)Add a new Item Master → Device Inventory section (instance-level — see 2.3, Table C)—
2Item Category sits away from Item Type in the field sequenceReorder the form so Item Category sits immediately next to Item Type; disable/hide medicine-only fields when Item Type = Non-Medical (see 2.3, Table A)—
5AMC/warranty tracking does not exist anywhere in the moduleAdd a separate Device AMC/Warranty form, linked to each Device Inventory record (see 2.3, Table D)—
6No way to assign a specific device unit to a camp/store locationAdd a new Device to Camp/Store Mapping (see 2.3, Table E)—
7Item Master is currently a single undifferentiated catalogItem Master should hold only consumable/issuable items. A device (e.g. the X-ray machine itself) does not appear in Item Master — it lives in Device Master/Device Inventory instead. Elsewhere in the system (e.g. a test-order or requisition filter), "X-ray" appears as a filter/selector, not as an Item Master entry.—

2.3 Section wise Detailing

2.3.1. Item Master (existing form, changes only)

Item Type stays a two-way radio (Medical / Non-Medical) - Device is deliberately not a third Item Type; it is handled by the new masters in Tables 2.3.2 & 2.3.3

Device master is different than device inventory

For e.g HPCL glucometer is Device Master and related to this inventory will be stripes

Device master will have generic name : Xray device, Truenat device,

Add new 1: ITEM Category MASTER ~DEVICE MASTER

Add new 2:  Item Master ~ Device Inventory

Supplier,

device number

Refer to above table

GPT – parameters for device varialble. Manufacture, device brand name, supplier, date of purchase. , also put cost in this (keep it optional)

AMC cost also include

Keep AMC separate section  – a new form

Add new 3 : Add Device to Camp/Store Mapping

Show only list of devices

Device items carry an Item-to-Store/Facility mapping instead of batch/expiry/quantity.

They shall instead carry an Item-to-Store/Facility mapping so each physical unit can be assigned and tracked by location.
