Business Requirements Document (BRD)
TB Screening Camp – Pre-Camp Activity and Micro Planning
This document defines the business requirements for conducting pre-camp activities and micro planning for village-level TB screening camps.
The purpose of the pre-camp activity is to collect and validate key administrative, health-system, village, household, and population information required to determine the operational requirements of the TB screening camp.
The information collected during the pre-camp activity shall be used to estimate:
TB screening camps are planned and organized in villages based on the estimated population of the village and the expected screening capacity of the deployed team.
Before organizing a TB screening camp, a pre-camp activity shall be conducted to support detailed micro planning.
The pre-camp activity shall capture village-level information, including:
Based on the estimated household and population figures, the system shall calculate the expected number of days required for:
The calculated values shall be used by the Camp Coordinator or authorized planning user to finalize the camp schedule and operational plan.
The solution shall support the following business objectives:
4.1 In Scope
The system shall support:
4.2 Out of Scope
The following activities are outside the scope of this requirement:
These activities may be handled by separate modules after the camp is planned.
Stakeholder | Responsibility |
Camp Coordinator | Plans and coordinates the screening camp |
TB Program Officials | Monitor and validate TB screening activities |
STS | Supports TB program coordination |
STLS | Supports laboratory-related coordination |
CHC Medical Officer | Provides health facility oversight |
PHC Medical Officer | Provides PHC-level oversight |
CHO/MLHP | Supports Health & Wellness Centre activities |
ANM | Supports village-level health activities |
ASHA | Supports household/community-level coordination |
Community Mobilizer | Supports village-level coordination, mobilization and Camp activities |
Village Head/Sarpanch | Supports village-level coordination |
System Administrator | Maintains system configuration and master data |
6.1 Administrative and TB Program Details
The following information shall be captured:
6.2 Health Facility Details
The system shall capture:
6.3 Health Workforce Details
6.4 Village Leadership Details
6.5 Village Demographic Estimates
6.6 Community Mobilizer
The system shall provide a dedicated micro-planning section based on the pre-camp information.
7.1 Enumeration Planning
The following information shall be used:
The enumeration team shall consist of 4 members as the standard team size.
The household enumeration capacity shall be configurable to accommodate operational variations.
Formula
Total Days Required for Enumeration =
Estimated Total Households ÷ Estimated Households Targeted per Team per Day
The resulting value shall be rounded up to the next whole number because enumeration cannot be planned for a fraction of a day.
Example
If:
Then:
1,000 ÷ 200 = 5 days
Therefore, 5 enumeration days are required.
If the result is 5.2 days, the system shall calculate 6 days.
The system shall calculate the expected number of camp days based on the estimated village population and screening capacity.
Inputs
Formula
Total Days Required for Organizing Camp =
Estimated Total Village Population ÷ Estimated Beneficiaries Targeted per Team per Day for Screening
The calculated value shall be rounded up to the next whole number.
Example
If:
Then:
4,500 ÷ 300 = 15 days
Therefore, 15 screening camp days are required.
If the calculated value is 15.1 days, the system shall display 16 days.
BR-01 – Mandatory Village Information
A pre-camp activity cannot be finalized without the required administrative, health facility, village, household, and population information.
BR-02 – Positive Values
Estimated household and population values shall be greater than zero.
BR-03 – Enumeration Capacity
Enumeration target per team per day shall be greater than zero.
BR-04 – Screening Capacity
Screening target per team per day shall be greater than zero.
BR-05 – Enumeration Team
The standard enumeration team shall consist of four members.
BR-06 – Configurable Capacity
The household enumeration and beneficiary screening targets shall be configurable based on operational requirements.
BR-07 – Automatic Calculation
The system shall automatically calculate the number of enumeration days and screening camp days whenever the relevant inputs are entered or changed.
BR-08 – Rounding
Any fractional number of days shall be rounded up to the next whole day.
BR-09 – Recalculation
If estimated households, estimated population, enumeration capacity, or screening capacity is changed, the system shall recalculate the corresponding number of days.
BR-10 – Planning Review
The calculated planning information shall be reviewed and confirmed by an authorized user before the camp is finalized.
The pre-camp and micro-planning module shall provide a standardized planning mechanism that enables the program team to determine the expected operational duration of village enumeration and TB screening activities based on measurable village-level requirements.
The module shall reduce dependency on manual calculations and support consistent, transparent, and data-driven camp planning.
Create/Select Village → Capture Pre-Camp Information → Capture Household & Population Estimates → Define Enumeration Capacity → Calculate Enumeration Days → Define Screening Capacity → Calculate Screening Camp Days → Review Micro Plan → Confirm Camp Plan
Software Requirements Specification (SRS)
TB Screening Camp – Pre-Camp Activity and Micro Planning Module
This SRS defines the functional and non-functional requirements for the Pre-Camp Activity and Micro Planning Module of the TB Screening Camp Management System.
The module shall enable authorized users to capture village-level information before a TB screening camp and automatically calculate the estimated duration required for household enumeration and TB screening activities.
The system shall provide a structured digital workflow to:
FR-01 – Pre-Camp Activity Creation
The system shall allow an authorized user to create a pre-camp activity for a village.
The pre-camp record shall be uniquely identifiable by a system-generated Pre-Camp Activity ID.
FR-02 – Administrative Information
The system shall allow the user to capture/select:
Where master data is available, the user should select values from configured master data instead of entering them manually.
FR-03 – Health Facility Information
The system shall allow capture of:
FR-04 – Health Worker Information
The system shall allow capture of:
FR-05 – Village Leadership Information
The system shall allow capture of:
FR-06 – Village Demographic Information
The system shall allow the user to enter:
Both values shall be numeric and greater than zero.
FR-07 – Enumeration Capacity
The system shall allow the user to enter:
Estimated Households Targeted per Team per Day for Enumeration.
The standard enumeration team size shall be four members.
The capacity shall be configurable.
FR-08 – Enumeration Days Calculation
The system shall automatically calculate:
Total Days Required for Enumeration = CEILING(Estimated Total Households ÷ Estimated Households Targeted per Team per Day)
The result shall always be displayed as a whole number.
FR-09 – Screening Capacity
The system shall allow the user to enter:
Estimated Beneficiaries Targeted per Team per Day for Screening.
The value shall be configurable according to the operational capacity of the screening team.
FR-10 – Screening Camp Days Calculation
The system shall automatically calculate:
Total Days Required for Organizing Camp = CEILING(Estimated Total Village Population ÷ Estimated Beneficiaries Targeted per Team per Day)
The result shall always be displayed as a whole number.
The system shall support the following calculation:
Enumeration
Estimated Total Households = 1,250
Enumeration Target = 250 households/team/day
1,250 ÷ 250 = 5
Total Enumeration Days = 5 days
Screening
Estimated Village Population = 4,750
Screening Target = 300 beneficiaries/team/day
4,750 ÷ 300 = 15.83
The system shall round up:
Total Screening Camp Days = 16 days
FR-11
The system shall automatically recalculate enumeration days whenever either of the following values changes:
FR-12
The system shall automatically recalculate screening camp days whenever either of the following values changes:
FR-13
